After 5 long days in the hospital, we were finally sent home yesterday. Today found us back at the hospital for X-rays, as the doctor is concerned that our son may have a sinus infection on top of his as-yet undiagnosed viral illness. I’ll continue posting prayer updates on Counter-cultural School blog.
If you’ve been reading this blog for awhile, you’ll undoubtedly remember that this isn’t our first rodeo. Two of our children have faced mystery illnesses requiring a lengthy hospitalization this year.
As we look for the blessings in the midst of these trials, what stands out the most is the fruit we see in our young sons’ lives. I asked our six year old today (just as I asked his 8 year old brother in June), “Are you angry with God for what is happening to you?” The answer was the same in both cases: “No. I trust Him.”
I’m so grateful to be able to say that I trust Him, too.
